How To Request Warranty Service During The First Year

Warranty Service should be sent into the Customer Service Office in writing and mailed, faxed or e-mailed to our corporate office. Construction personnel and Sales personnel cannot accept calls for warranty service.

The Procedures for Requesting Customer Service/Warranty Work during the first 12 months after closing are as follows:

  • via us mail — In a letter, or on the Warranty Request form, state the warrantable items that need attention. Mail to:

  • via fax — If you prefer, fax your letter identifying the warrantable items that need attention to:

  • via internet — You may e-mail your request for service on warrantable items, using our On-Line Warranty Request Form.

Filing A RWC/HOME Of Texas Warranty Claim After The First Year
  1. Carefully read your RWC limited warranty booklet to determine what is covered.

  2. If the problem you are experiencing is covered by the extended warranty, report it to RWC as follows:

    • via us mail — In a letter, stating the warrantable items that need attention.

Your Request Must Contain The Following Information:

  1. Enrollment number and effective date of warranty. This information will be on your warranty booklet given to you at closing.

  2. Builder's name and address:

    Genesis Homes
    P.O. Box 993
    Arlington, Texas 76004

  3. Your name, address and phone numbers, including home and work numbers.

*TIP: You may download the Genesis Homes Warranty Request Form to complete and send to RWC.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Verbal Requests are not valid and will not be acknowledged by either Genesis Homes, or RWC/Home of Texas. The way to receive a prompt response for warranty service is to put that request in writing and send via any one of the ways listed above.

Emergency Service

In the event emergency mechanical service is necessary you may contact the following subcontractors directly:

  • Plumber

  • Electrician

  • Air Conditioning/Heating

The telephone numbers of these subcontractors are located in the “Important Phone Numbers” section of your Genesis Homes Homeowners Manual.
